Hey, U write well. Though u hav written a few lines it gives the minimum impression on the movie(for those who hav’nt watched it lyk me). I hav read the review of inception in a magazine called “MANAGEMENT COMPASS”(its provided in my CAT coaching institute). U could hav written about the storyline, the characters involved like Saito, Cobb n others..U could hav made it lengthier. Yet, good review!!!

The prestige was the movie which had a complex non linear narration and now inception has something new. Nolan’s every film is so brilliant & inception is nothing less than his previous works. But yes his narration was simple for a complex story. My iPod os still busy playing the Hans zimmers exceptional piece of music. Liked ur review which is very straight n honest .

INCEPTION – Fantastic & very intriguing to say the least. Saw it in telugu (Aarambham). Felt the dubbing was pretty lame. Going to watch it on the IMAX screen this weekend. Its hard to even imagine how Mr.Nolan even came up with such an idea. An edge of the seat nail biter for sure.

Excellent review Sirish & good that you are not doing any Tollywood reviews.

About Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack.. I agree that there was a similarity to that of The Dark Knight, but it is only a slight similarity! This is because, Zimmer used electric distortion heavily in ‘The Dark Knight’ and used the same thing in ‘Inception’ as well but only as an underscore.. Hence, the similarity in both the sound tracks!

If you are interested in similar concepts related to Inception, as a movie buff, check out ‘The Cell’ and ‘Existenz’.

FYI,
Inception’s screenplay and Nolan’s interview is being released as a book, in September.

This is truly what film is about. I haven’t felt so Involved in a movie in a while, when this movie starts you feel like you are apart of it, and its over before you know it (this is a 2 and a half hour long movie).

In the beginning it starts out by grabbing your intention very fast, and after the first scene, i know i felt like my 100 RS were well spent. the first half of the movie you meet all of your characters that you will grow to love and root for. the Exposition is great, you never feel lost, or frustrated with the film, and you think you would with such a unusual story.

In the second half, the rising action of the movie is so intense for like an hour and you feel all of the tension in the whole cinema. and i cannot go to far into the second half with out spoiling things so i will leave you with this for you to decide to go see it. Once, or if you are like me twice (in one day).

your review & details were stopped on the outer layer of it, i thought you will go in deep and give some good insight. what ever you specified is true. belief in concept is what Inception is. DiCaprio believing in this kind of script is really appreciable. And it is Nolan’s belief on viewers and their capability in understanding such brainy teasers..it’s the screen play did wonders there…

There are some points are actually arguable..but if we specify or talk about them then its like dogs barking next to Elephant…

This review would have been a good article to read if the grammatical errors were omitted. Besides, a movie review has to be more about its feel and the emotional play. Movies are meant to draw people out of their own selves and put them in the middle of the plot. So, there has to be some interaction. I do understand that this job is the responsibility of the director. However, reviewing too should be a part of that experience called cinema.

This is one of the best reviews i hve read on “Inception ” which doesnt reveal the plot to the slightest, still gives a good introduction of the movie to the readers. Amazing work…!!!
