An interesting forward : Root cause for our society’s moral degeneration

I’m not usually a fan of forwards. Most of them are silly jokes. A lot of conspiracy theories about rich people & celebrities. But, this was simple and motivational. It tells us why in the name of progress, we’ve morally degenerated over the years. Hope you like it.

nope. i don’t like it. i am sorry but it doesn’t make any sense what so ever. people who resort to violence are not kids that didn’t read religion. its funny that the question is about 9/11. how many of the 9/11 hijackers didnt follow religion..how many of them are atheist/agnostics..thats right. zero. therez lot of stupidity and lies in the arguments presented. no body said ok for child pornography. nude pictures of women is reason for ppl to become violent..look at our ellora and ajanta and kamasutra. are we (indians) very violent ppl?

  2. I almost thought that after your article on Padmaja Shaw, there would be no more on social issues. Appreciate it.

    Hi Sirish
This is one of the best forwards I read in the recent past. Its 100% true that whatever bad is happening to the society is sowed by the society itself.
People say that our education system should be changed and they themselves pressurise their children to get the best grades.
Many ppl dont believe in God until they get some life and death problem. They believe in luck than in God.
    May God help this world.

“We reap what we sow” is so true. Whatever we are now is due to how we were bought up by our parents, who had certain morals entrenched on them by their parents. Reading the ppt. it makes me wonder if we could ever be able to change what we have already done, but the most definite answer might be “NO”. That is the answer we will also get when some people believe that they could reverse global warming.

O….I was reading your blog at school and my English teacher saw it……and she thought that this was very interesting. Today, she had this ppt. incorporated in our lesson….which was about morals. Most of students in my class thought that this motivating. Thank you for putting this up….and Happy Shivaratri. :D

I will definitely be thinking about this for a long time.

  5. Hi SIRISH ,

shows how impressionable our minds are.
    1) Why the red color ?
    2) Who is the “we” that said OK when there are nude pictures of kids published in magazines ?
    3) To those who support punishing kids for bad behavior, consider these points -
    a) do you know that punishment in the form of physical pain just increases their pain tolerance and teaches them to not get caught next time. doesnt make them for what they did
    b) in modern society we may have issues like teachers frustrated with personal lives taking it out on kids . do you want to feed the kids to a psychopath ? who said all teachers are noble ?
    c) physical punishment comes out of frustration of a teacher who cannot imagine how else to discipline/teach the kid. it has got nothing to do with the kid. he may go on to become the next Abraham Lincoln or Bill Gates

    3) Stop believing that “disciplining” the society is good governance. Remember that those who discipline are also humans. With all these “flaws” in the US system, it is much better than our Indian system where a victim does not even have a proper channel to get justice let alone complaint to someone. Imagine the thousands of kids who are facing abuse because as a society we give the benefit of doubt to elders
